“Barbie rhinoplasty” vs. traditional rhinoplasty
All rhinoplasty procedures involve both adding structure to your nose and reshaping what is there already. In that sense a Barbie rhinoplasty is no different from any other rhinoplasty.
The main difference is that the goal of a Barbie rhinoplasty is always pretty much the same, whereas in most nose surgeries the goal varies from one case to the next. A standard rhinoplasty is performed to make a correction or improvement, of course, but the specific shape the patient wants or gets depends on her or his “starting point” and goals, as well as on the surgeon’s vision and competence.
