Notes from Dr. Siegel: Our patient disliked his bifid tip (split vertical line) and wide nostrils in front view. On the profile, he had a large dorsal hump, and deep radix (space between the nose and the forehead). His nostrils were narrowed with an alar base reduction, and the bifidity of the tip removed. Rhinoplasty gave him the profile he wanted by eliminating the hump and softening the transition point between the nose and the forehead.
